I’m almost certain I say this in every monthly review but I’ll say it again, I can’t believe another month has gone by so fast, we’ll soon be approaching both Christmas and 2019. September started off very poorly indeed but thankfully the month did improve as early on I watched the monstrosity that was Sharknado which I thought was easily going to be the worst film of the year for me but it somehow got beat to last place by the abomination that was Open Water. There were a few disappointments amongst my movie viewing this month too such as Life as We Know It and more recently The Predator but as I neared the end of the month I began watching some very good movies on a consistent basis. Coming of age movies seemed to be trending with me this month as I watched My Sisters Keeper, Christopher Robin, My Girl and Radio Flyer all of which were wonderful pieces of cinema in their own right.
As I head into October, which is a busy month for me away from movies as it’s my wife’s birthday as well as mine at the end of the month, I will try and keep on top of my movie viewing but expect a little less activity than normal. As always, thank you for reading, liking and commenting on my reviews and be sure to stick around for more movie ramblings in October.
Here is the complete list of September’s movies, ranked from best to worst of course, with a link to each individual review if you want to go back and check any of my thoughts.
